After many years in various spheres of government and parastatals, JOHAN NAUDé started this multi-disciplinary architectural & engineering practice in 2009 to become a significant role player in Central South Africa’s built environment.
While architecture is our core business, we also have a network of professional associates in various other spheres, such as structural- and civil engineers, town and regional planners, land surveyors, quantity surveyors and project managers at your service.
This networking and collaboration enables us to assemble a suitable professional team for any building project.
This practice is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) and the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
I am a professional architectural and engineering practitioner, and in my profession, I take deep pride. I pledge to practice with integrity and fair dealing, tolerance and respect.
I shall uphold the standards and dignity of my profession, conscious of the fact that my skill carries with it the obligation to serve humanity with great responsibility, by making the most sustainable use of our precious natural resources.
I shall only participate in honest enterprises. When needed, I shall avail my skills and knowledge without reservation. In fulfilling my duty, and in fidelity to my profession, I shall always give my utmost.
At your service is Johan Naudé, registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession ( SACAP ) in the category Pr.S.Arch.T and with the Engineering Council of South Africa ( ECSA ) as a Pr. Techni. Eng. (Civil / Structural).
Johan is an Associate Member of the South African Institute of Architects (Free State).
He matriculated in Vereeniging in 1976 and completed his engineering qualification in 1980. He then started his studies in the field of architecture with ICS London.
In 1987 he was appointed as manager of a multi-disciplinary drawing office in the Bloemfontein Municipality, where he gained valuable experience in the disciplines of town planning, architecture, civil engineering and land surveying.
In 2009 he left public service to start this multi-disciplinary practice, where he is still the principal consultant.
Our mission and design philosophy focus on the unique needs of the client. Our clients are encouraged to use our expertise and experience to design their ideal building or adding to, or make alterations to any existing building.
While we are proud of our unique sense of innovation, we will not indulge in experimental, extreme or trend-setting architecture at the client’s expense.
Rather, we aim to pair the client’s vision with our professional guidance and creative suggestions so that the result is a building that is fully functional, budget-friendly, energy efficient and fit for purpose, while never negotiating on architectural-, scientific and aesthetic excellence.
Our in-house structural engineering experience is supportive of our architectural services.
This inter-disciplinary integration brings an understanding of the structural dynamics and laws of physics as early as possible in the design process to deliver high-quality, economical and sustainable structures, which are also pleasing to the eye from an aesthetic point of view.
We support energy efficient building solutions, ecologically sustainable development and responsible use and re-use of natural resources, while also promoting justifiable economic and social development.
